Open Day at Karori. —"Open days" in aid of the patriotic funds have been held by Wellington golf clubs with considerable success recently, and the Karori Golf Club Is taking its turn with one on Sunday next, with a medal round in the morning and a single stableford in the afternoon. There will be no green fees, but there will be an entrance fee of 2s in the morning and 2s in the afternoon. Luncheon and teas will be available on the links and taxis will leave the Government Buildings at 8.30 a.m. It is hoped that many golfers will participate in the day's play. Tomorrow Karori members will play for the Levien Shield (stroke foursome). The draw will be at the clubhouse. RESULTS. Taita Club.—Stableford: G. Dickie, 29, 4—33; R. Tovey, 27, 4—31. Eclectic: J. W.
