PATRIOTIC CONCERT.
Some time ago the Britannia Sea Scouts ended their Queen Carnival with a concert that included a spectacular tableau of the coronation of the successful queen. Such was the success of that entertainment that the committee has acceded to a request that the performance be repeated. Arrangements have been made for the presentation of the entire programme on Sunday evening next in the Opera House. In addition to performances by Scouts and Cubs there will be items by Messrs. Norman Aitken, H. F. ("Tony") Wood, Roy Baker's Band, and Miss Hazel Martin's pupils. There will also be the spectacular patriotic tableau of the coronation of Britannia, as Queen of the Seas, during which Mrs. Kathleen Palmer will sing "There'll Always Be An England." The Mayor of Wellington will officially open the programme. All those taking part are giving their services voluntarily, and the proceeds will be for the Patriotic Fund. Mr. Norman Izett will act as official pianist. Particulars are advertised.
