WOQLWORTHS' DIVIDENDS

Woolworths, Ltd., Sydney, has advised the Stock Exchange Association of New Zealand that at a meeting of directors on July 9 it was resolved that the following half-yearly dividends, based on shareholdings as at July 31, be declared, and that same be available for payment on August 15: (1) Half-yearly dividend of 5 per cent, on the paid-up 10 per cent, preference share capital; (2) half-yearly dividend of 3J per cent, on the paid-up 7 per cent, preference share capital. The preference share transfer books will be closed from July 24 to 31, inclusive. Woolworths (W.A.), Ltd., has also advised the association that a half-yearly dividend of 4 per cent, on the. 8 per cent, preference share capital, based on shareholdings as at July 31, has been declared, and will be available for payment on August 15. The preference share transfer books will be closed from July 24 to 31, inclusive.
