OBITUARY

MR. H. MCLENNAN ROSS

The death has occurred suddenly in Auckland of- Mr. Hector McLennan Ross, assistant chief surveyor for the Lands and Survey Department at Auckland, aged 40 years, states a Press Association message. For a paper on the survey of the North Island, Mr. Ross was awarded the Fulton Bequest Medallion of the New Zealand Institute of Surveyors last year. He had been chairman of the Auckland branch of the institute for the past two years.

. Mr. Ross is survived by his wife and daughter.
