GOAL OF 250,000
AUSTRALIAN DEFENCE FORCB
SYDNEY, July 17.
Under the defence plan announced some time ago by the Prime Minister (Mr. R. G. Menzies) to build up Aus* tralia's defence forces to 250,000, a total of 76,000 men who will reach the ages of 20 to 24 by June 30 of next year will undergo three months' military training. This will be in addition to 30,000 volunteers and reservists, who will undergo training, in the coining year.
