McCready beat Raines by two falls to one in their fourth professional wrestling match this season, McCready now havmg won three. The bout was one of the best in Christchurch this year, Raines requiring to be dumped as many as nine times in the sixth round before McCready took the equalising fall. Raines took a fall in the fourth round with a dump after heavy elbow jolts. McCready also used elbow "jolts to weaken Raines in the sixth, Raines taking so much punishment that he fell an easy victim to a further battery of jolts and dumps in the seventh round.
