PERSONAL NOTES

Mrs. A. J. Bradshaw, Wellington, is paying a visit to her mother, Mrs. E. O. Trerise, Christchurch.

Miss Ngaio Marsh, Cashmere Hills, Christchurch, is visiting Dunedin for the British Drama League festival, at which she will be judge. She is staying with Mrs. J. McG. Wilkie, St. Clair.

Mrs. J. H. Francis, Wadestown, is visiting Auckland.

Mrs. C. C. Jackson (Masterton), Dominion treasurer of the Women's Division of the Farmers' Union, Mrs. W. Elliott (Clarendon, Otago), Mrs. W. Orr (Balfour, Southland), Mrs. F. Ryburn (Ohaupo, Auckland), and Mrs. W. Lane (Kaeo, North Auckland) will be among the visiting officials for the annual conference in Wellington of Women's Division representatives.

Mrs. Cyril Lash, New Plymouth, arrived in Wellington yesterday to spend a holiday.

Mrs. Maurice Earle, Wanganui, who has been in England for some time, intends, if possible, to return to New Zealand shortly. Her two sons are in England, Mr. Tony Earle at Guy's Hospital, and Mr. Michael Earle with the R.A.F.

Mrs. A. Burnard, who has been the guest of her sister, Mrs. H. C. Jenkins, Wicksteed Street, Wanganui, has returned to her home in Oriental Bay, Wellington.

Mrs. E. R. Newman, Wellington, is staying with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. T. T. Denbee, Masterton, while her husband is in camp.

Miss Helena Butler, of the Napier St. John nursing cadets, has been awarded the Grand Priors' badge, the highest cadet award of the St. John Ambulance Association. The award is the first of its type to be made in Hawke's Bay, and is given for genera] knowledge of the work of the order.

Mr. and Mrs. Andersen Tyrer, London, will visit Christchurch next week.

Miss Ruth Herrick, Napier, is a visitor to Wellington and is staying at the Hotel Waterloo.

Dr. Hilda Northcroft, Auckland, arrived at Wellington this morning.

Miss E. M. Johnston, headmistress of the Auckland Girls' Grammar School, is a visitor to Wellington.

Mr. and Mrs. G. G. Goodbehere, Feilding, are staying at the Hotel Waterloo.

Mrs. Noel Adams, Clevedon, Canterbury, Mrs. J. R. Brett, Auckland, and Mrs. Broad, Nelson, are staying at the Midland Hotel.

Miss Elsie Williams, "Frimley," Hastings, Mrs. E. C. Holmes, Featherston, and Mrs. G. Bagnall, Auckland, are staying at the Hotel Waterloo.

Mrs. Alfred Kidd, Epsom, arrived at Wellington today from Auckland.
