Lieutenant H. A. Haynes, R.ltf. <Retd.) joined the Royal Navy in 1899. In 1925 he was appointed for service in H.M.S. Diomede, serving on the New Zealand Station. In 1927 he was ap» : . pointed Naval Armament .Supply Officer at Devonport, After'a course, at., Woolwich in 1931, he became Naval Armament Supply Officer and Inspecting Ordnance Officer at-Devonport.
