SHANGHAI, July 10
Japanese officials have joined the anti-American campaign.
Members of the Right Wing threatened to disarm the American marines unless an apology is made for the arrest of the Japanese detectives. An Embassy spokesman said that officials did not intend to interfere with the mounting anti-American campaign and that any reply short of an apology would be unsatisfactory.
