WAR CONDITIONS

EMERGENCY PLANS AMENDED

The question of amplifying or amending the existing emergency plans prepared for Wellington some time ago for putting into operation in the event of earthquake, etc., is being considered in relation to war conditions, said the Mayor, Mr. T. C. A. Hislop, today.

- "We have already set up an organisation to deal with sudden emergencies," he said, "but in view of war conditions they necessarily will require some modifications. The matter is at present under careful study, and the necessary action is being taken."
