BRITISH PROTEST
TRANSPORT AGREEMENT
SWEDEN AND GERMANY
LONDON July 9
The Swedish Press generally applauds the Swedish-German transport agreement of July 5 as a necessity. The Premier, Mr. Hansson, declared that the Government was unable to disregard the fact that Germany had partly or entirely occupied seven European countries and that France had concluded an armistice. He hoped the Swedes would show their usual discipline.
The British Minister at Stockholm has protested against the agreement.
Sweden has decided to allow the passage of armed German soldiers and materials of war to and from Norway.
