< -Comment upon Mr. Mount joy's : reference to the Coal Yard Labourers' i Award was made today by Mr. P. M. i Butler, secretary of the New Zealand Labourers' Federation, in a supplied 1 statement. "-"Mr. Mountjoy's reference to the '. awards, said Mr. Butler, was as fol- i lows: — "In the Coal Yard Labourers' Award the weekly wage of labourers has i been increased by 5s a week, plus a payment of 10 per cent, on the weekly < wage to workers who are required to ; work more than 40 and up to 44 hours a week. This brings the weekly wage lip to £4 19s, as compared with £4 5s ; a week previously paid.
