SEIZURE OF FRENCH

BANK-NOTES

LONDON, July 6.

The authorities have seized French bank-notes valued at several million francs from a French vessel which left Brest immediately prior to the German occupation and reached Belfast. The notes are believed to represent the note issue of one bank, and they were packed in 121 large bags and hidden among the cargo.
