LONDON, July 6. Shanghai reports that the Brdfiish Consul there, as a precautionary measure, has suspended the clearance papers of British ships scheduled 1, to sail for Indo-China, as a result; of orders to the French by Marshal Pc tain to fire on British ships off French territory.
