WEST COAST BEAT BULLER

(By Telegraph—Press Association.) WESTPORT, July 6. The first Rugby match.of the season between West Coast and Buller for the Rundle Cup was played on Victoria Square this afternoon under ideal weather conditions and before a large attendance. West Coast was captained by Ron King, the AH Black, and Buller by G. Mason. The visitors proved too good for the local side, winning by 18 points to 6. In the first spell little separated the teams. McFadzien kicking a penalty for Buller and Scott doing likewise for the Coast. Croudis also scored a try, making the half-time score Coast 6, Buller 3. The second- spell opened breezily, Scott (Coast) and Dunn (Buller) each kicking penalty goals. Thereafter nine points were scored by the Coast, a penalty by Scott and two tries,by Roberts.
