(By Telegraph—Press Association.)

CHRISTCHURCH, July 4. i' The Court of Arbitration left tonight for Wellington, where on July 12 it will consider an application from the Painters'. Butland, Registrar of the Court, said today that whatever decision the Court made would affect workers under all awards.

' The Christchurch Fire Brigade Employees' Union, whose application for a new award was before the Court today, had in Conciliation Council the day before agreed not to press for a wage increase at that stage to meet the higher cost of living, but to await the decision of the Court.
