SOLDIERS AT HEADS
HUT ACCOMMODATION
"I want to say a word about the forgotten soldiers," declared Mr. A. E. Jull (National, Waipawa) in the House of Representatives yesterday. "I am not a military man, but I understand from a soldier, who informed me last night, that the Government has practically got a concentration camp for some of the soldiers out here at the heads."
Mr. Jull said that, according to his information, there were huts at the heads measuring about lift by 15ft and Bft high, into which ten men were crowded. There were two little windows which did not give enough light to write a letter in daylight. He asked that note be taken by Ministers of this matter and that the men who were in the Permanent Force should receive reasonable consideration over their accommodation.
