APPEAL FOR UNITY
MR. SULLIVAN SPEAKS
VICTORY ONLY OBJECTIVE

MELBOURNE, July 4.
In a broadcast over the national network tonight, the New Zealand Minister of Supply, Mr. D. G. Sullivan, appealed for unity between Australia and New Zealand and stressed the necessity for discarding thoughts of personal ambitions and concentrating on the war effort. .
"There can be only one object—to win the war. Everything else must be swept aside," said the Minister.
The "Argus" today featured on its front page an interview with the Minister, appealing to the people to have one heart and one mind in their determination to bring the struggle to a victorious conclusion.
Mr. Sullivan has spent several days visiting munition works and factories which are producing war materials. and.,is deeply impressed with the speed with which production is being increased. The Minister expects to leave this -week to continue negotiations in Sydney and Canberra.
