Hay den (seated), secretary of the National Patriotic Fund Board, is receiving the cheque from Major J. Abel, Dominion organiser of the appeal. At the back are Mr. J. W. Jack (right), of the joint council of the Order of St. John and the New Zealand Red Cross Society, and Mr. K. Falconer, accountant and joint secretary of the same organisations.
