The Rev. W. F. Stent' has been appointed Government representative on the New Zealand Poultry Board.
Dr. G. Dempster, who has been appointed medical officer of health for North Auckland, has arrived at Whangarei from Wellington. ■ Dr. C. B. Gilberd, who has been medical officer at Whangarei, has been transferred to Hamilton and will leave on Saturday.
Mr. T. Miller, formerly stationmaster at Frankton Junction, hat; taken up the position of stationmaster at Auckland. Mr. T. H. Trask, the former Auckland stationmaster, is now assistant district traffic manager at Dunedin.
The Vice-Consul de Carriere, of Sweden, at Wellington, has assumed Hungarian interests in New Zealand, according to a Gazette notice published last night.
Mr. Justice Tyndall arrived from Lyttelton by the steamer express today.
The Rt. Hon. G. W. Forbes and Messrs. Clyde Carr, H. S. Kyle, T. D. Burnett, and S. G. Holland, M.P.s, Will leave for the south tonight.
Messrs. W. Cecil Prime and A. L. Monteith, assessors in the Court of Arbitration, arrived in Wellington from the south this morning.
