KEENNESS IN ALL RANKS

The general keenness of all personnel in area and sub-area offices and other military establishments in the northern end of the Central Military District was the subject of favourable comment by Colonel R. A. Row, D.5.0., Officer Commanding the district, upon His return from a visit of inspection to Napier, Gisborne, Waiouru, Wanganui, and Palmerston North. He added that civilian bodies too gave many indications of their desire to assist the military authorities in every way possible.

"Good progress is being made with recruiting for Territorial units," said the colonel, "and a very fine type of man is coming forward."
