ENEMY ALIENS

APPOfNTMEINrr OF TR.BUWAL

The question of enemy aliens cropped up in a question put by Mr. W. J. Broadfoot (National, Waitomo) to the Attorney-General (the Hon. H. G. R. Mason) in the House last night.

Mr. Broadfoot asked whether in view of the Prime Minister's recent statement that a tribunal would be set up to examine the bona fides of enemy aliens in the Dominion, the AttorneyGeneral would advise the House when the personnel of such tribunal would be announced and when it would start to function. Mr. Broadfoot added that action by such a body would relieve much of the uneasiness which was apparent in the community. The Prime Minister (the Hon. P. Fraser) said that the Attorney-General had assured him that he would be in a position to announce the personnel almost at once.
