HATAITAI ELECTORS
A meeting of the newly-elected executive of the Hataitai Municipal Electors' Association was held recently. Mr. M. Levy reported on arrangements made with the City Council for planting shrubs and trees at selected localities in the district. A matter which the association decided to follow up with the City Council was the proposal for the creation of a new recreation ground at the rear of the Patent Slip in Evans Bay. It was also decided that the president, Mr. R. Hardie Boys, and Mr. Searle should wait on the City Council to ascertain to what purpose it is proposed' to put the Town Hall and library site which is held by the council in Wai-J papa Road. A suggestion was put forward that it would be a suitable site on which to erect Plunket rooms.
