McCREADY v. O'CONNOR.
At the Wellington Town Hall on Monday night, in a heavyweight professional wrestling bout, Earl MeCready, the British Empire champion, will meet Don O'Connor, the IrishAmerican dropkick artist. McCready has been wrestling so well lately that his popularity- is greater than ever before and big attendances are the order at his matches. Not only is his general wrestling up to its usual high standard but also he is displaying unusual vigour and aggression, meeting the advances of rugged opponents in a way that they can understand. He is at the peak of his fitness and, although the opposition he is being called upon to face is exceptionally strong, his position as the leading wrestler in the country is still undoubted. O'Connor has been highly impressive on his appearances here this year, and he gave a particularly good performance in his recent bout with "Lofty" Blomfield. Amateur and professional preliminaries will commence at 8 o'clock.
