40,000 INTERNED
ALLIED SOLDIERS IN SWITZERLAND
(Received June 21, 1.20 p.m.) BERNE, June 20. It is stated officially that 16,000 Polish and 12,000 French soldiers entered Switzerland last night. It is estimated that 40,000 Allied soldiers are now interned in Switzerland.
Swiss civilians are co-operating with Swiss troops in feeding the refugees.
