THE AIR EFFORT
THANKS TO WORKERS IN INDUSTRY
(British Official Wireless.) (Received June 21, 12.50 p.m.) RUGBY, June 20. j Air Chief Marshal Sir Cyril Newall, | Chief of the Air Staff, issued the following message:— "On behalf of the R.A.F. I desire to express sincere gratitude to all ranks in the aircraft industry for the magnificent response "to the additional calls upon the industry which have been made in the past three weeks. In particular the R.A.F. wishes to offer its thanks to the great body of men and women who, by working long hours at high pressure, have made it possible to achieve ah outstanding contrij bution to our air effort."
