RUGBY, June 19
The Governor of the Gold Coast, with the concurrence of the Legislative Council, has offered to the Im? perial Government for the purchase of bombers or Spitfires a loan of £500,000 free of interest for the duration of the war.
Residents of Georgetown, British Guiana* subscribed £20,000 in two days for the purchase of a bomber for the R.A.F.
