BASKETBALL

A surprise in Saturday's basketball games was the defeat of Wellington East Old Girls by Wellington College Old Girls by 18 goals to 14. Kia Ora beat Island Bay with less difficulty than was- anticipated, the score being 22-11. Training College played University twice, the second game being a postponed firstround match.
