The advertised times for closing mails by steamers are liable to alteration.. The public are earnestly requested to register all letters containing money or valuables intended to be sent by post. Between the hours of 7 a.m. and 4 p.m. all commercial and printed papers, books, sample packets, and newspapers must be posted at this office half an hour before the time of closing, ordinary letter-mails, and at 4 p.m. for mails closing after that hour. Books, sample packets, and newspaper mails are closed at Te'Aro and Wellington East Post Offices at 11 a.m., 1 n.m., 2.30 p.m., and 4 p.m. daily.
