CHILDREN OVERLOOKED
"I do not like to See children left like Mahomet's coffin," declared Mr. Justice Blair when dealing with divorce matters in the Supreme Court today, the petitioner in the particular case, a woman* had been separated from her husband and had been compelled to go to work to keep herself, hel* fbitr children being sent to her husband's mother. She herself had occasional access to them. In the divorce petition no mention was made of the children, a fact which was commented upon by the Judge. "I have always found," his Honour said, "that it is difficult to separate a good mother from her children t but if no stipulation is made in the petition to give her access to them she can be denied all contact with them." If this is overlooked now, she will probably come to her counsel iater on and want to. crucify huh for not attending to it." Ifi th§ circumstances interim access to the children Was granted by the Court.
