Among these horses Glaciate, Potai, and Peerless are already in Australia, and Beaupartir and Lambourn are due to go over shortly to do their preparation there. Glaciate and Potai are members of A. D. Webster's team in Melbourne. The former is a three-year-old gelding by Wheriko out of the Kilbroney—Snowlike mare Sleet, a three-quarter relative to the dam of Arctic King, and he" has ° shown some staying promise in Victoria, though his record has still to be made. Potai is a four-year-old bay gelding by Lackham from that useful Acre —Borsil mare Borsalene, and he has already won four small events in Victoria this season. Both horses are owned by Webster. The entry of Norse is of interest, as he is now owned by Mr. G. H. Paul, who sold Gold Salute prior to the A.J.C. Derby last season. Norse is a fine type of three-year-old chestnut gelding by Valkyrian from the Clarenceux—Fanfaronade mare Flourish, the dam also of Royal Buck and Velvet, and he impressed when making an exhibition of his opposition in a novice event at Dunedin last Monday.
