The Dominion Auctioneering Co., Ltd., Palmerston North, report receiving good entries of pigs and poultry at their usual weekly sale. Poultry maintained late rates and pigs sold readily with weaners and slips especially commanding good competition. Large supplies of vegetables were disposed of under keen competition. Sales were as follows: —Pigs: Best weaners, 14s to 17s each; medium weaners, 10s to 12s 6d; slips, 14s to 18s; stores, 20s to 30s; light porkers, 33s 6d to 395; boars, £3 3s. Poultry: Best W.L. hens, 5s to 6s per pair; heavy 8.0. hens, 6s to 8s per pair; light hens, 3s to 4s 6d per pair; cockerels, good 8s to 8s 6d per pair, medium 5s to 7s per pair, light 3s to 4s per pair; ducks, 4s 8d to 7s per pair; geese, 2s 6d to 3s 6d each; turkey gobblers, 6s each; turkey hens, 4s each. Produce: Cauliflowers, 6s to 9s per bag; cases, 4s to 6s; cabbages, Savoy 3s 6d to 6s, Drumhead 3s to 6s; lettuce, 3s 6d to 10s; brussells sprouts, lOd per lb; carrots, 2s 3d to 3s per bag; parsnips, 2s 9d to 3s per bag; spinach, 4s 6d to 6s 6d per case; leeks, 4s 6d to 6s 6d per case; pumpkins, 4s to 5s 6d per bag; marrows, 2s to 3s per bag; silver beet, 2s to 2s 6d per case; green peas, 4d to 6Jd per lb; celery, 6s to 9s per case; tomatoes; 3s to 7s 6d per case; onions, 9s to Us per bag; potatoes, 6s 6d to 7s 6d cwt.
