NEW NATIONALIST CLUB

(From "The Post's" Representative.)

NELSON, May 23,

Rooms which have been in use forj other purposes for some time, were opened as a Nationalist Club the other evening by the Hon. Adam Hamilton. The committee, under the direction of Mrs. H. McPherson, has been working for some time most energetically, and | the result1 is a very comfortable and I attractive club. After declaring the room open, supper was served and a very happy evening was spent. Among those present were Mr. A. G. Russell, Mr. and Mrs. A. Harris, Mr. and Mrs. W. R. P. Jacques, Mr. and Mrs. Robertson, Mr, and Mrs. W. H. Stride, Mr. and Mrs. Wiggins, Mr. and Mrs. Hunter, Mr. J. R. Kerr, Mrs. Noble, Mrs. Farmer, Mrs. Johnston, Miss Grey, Miss Blomfield, Mrs. Davis, Miss Brent, and I Mrs. Jamieson. * Personals. Mrs. R. J. Eyre was the guest of honour recently at a party given by Mrs. W. W. Squires. Mrs. Eyre will shortly join her husband, who is stationed at Burnham. The engagement is announced of Miss Heather Ingram, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J. G. Ingram, to Andrew Kenneth, only son of the late Mr. A. M. Bolton and Mrs. Bolton, Wellington. The marriage is expected to take place some time next spring.
