WELLINGTON V.M.C.A.
On Sunday evening a band of ladies from the Lower Hutt Ked Cross class were hostesses to a number of soldiers, sailors, and airmen at the V.M.C.A. soldiers' tea. Mr. R. H. Nimmo, president of the V.M.C.A., extended a welcome to those present. Votes of thanks were expressed by representatives of each branch oil the service, and Sister Beeson suitably replied. Among those present were Mr. GV I. Beeson, Mr. and Mrs. James Mitchell, and Mr. and Mrs. H. W. Kersley. Mr. O. Dwyer sang tenor solos. Mr. Miliward played the piano-accordion for the community sing, and Mr.; P. W.-Graham gave an elocutionary item. '
