WEDDING OF WIDE INTEREST

The wedding took place on Saturday evening at the bride's home, Rosslea, Hatuma, of Ann, only daughter of Mr. and Mrs. C. White "^arsons, and Muir Edward, thiro son of the late Sir Robert and Lady Sinclair Lockhart, states the "New Zealand Herald."

The bride, who was escorted by her father, chose a Victorian gown of white net, embroidered with silver and mounted on taffeta. Her flowing lace veil was lent by- the bridegroom's sister, Mrs. Grace, and she carried her mother's prayer book of silver, with pale blue satin- ribbons and knots of orange blossom. Her only ornament was a diamond and pearl brooch, the bridegroom's gift, and a family heirloom. The bridesmaids . were Miss Elizabeth Harvey, who wore a Victorian frock of pale blue net, and Miss Angela Grace, the bridegroom's niece, who wore pale pink net. Both carried pastel posies of roses and carnations.

_' Mr. Bruce Sinclair Lockhart was his brother's best man.

The Tawa Flat and. Porirua Women's Institutes were the guests of the Plimmerton Institute recently. Mrs. Tabor, voluntary organiser, was the guest speaker, and dealt with a number of subjects helpful to members, stating that at no time had it been more important than the present to uphold the dignity of the movement. Mrs. Tabor was presented with chrysanthemums by Mrs. M. E. Sinclair, president, who also received flowers, a gift from Tawa Flat members. The Plimmerton singing circle entertained with two numbers before afternoon tea was served by Mesdames Amon, Burd. and Bowsie. The sales table was well patronised.
