ACCOUNTANT STUDENTS
The 37th annual general meeting of the Wellington Accountant Students' Society, which was held vecently, was presided over by Mr. R. A. Davison. ,
Many suggestions were made^ by members for the conduct of the society in the coming season. It was decided to endeavour to obtain new members from the younger men in the offices of professional accountants in the city. It was unanimously resolved that the society meet the subscription of all members on active service, both home and overseas.
The following officers were elected for the coming year:—Patron, the president of the New Zealand Society of Accountants; president, Mr. A. P. O'Shea; immediate past president. Mr. R. A. Dsvison; vice-presidents, Messrs. W. R. • Mathieson, ■I. T. Cook, J. B. Black, L R. Bowen, M. A. Levestam; committee, Messrs. N. G. Foley, G. C. Carnie, F. H. Greenaway, N. R. Dowdall,. D. I. M. Anderson, G. C. Arkley; hon. treasurer, Mr R. A. Davison; hon. auditor, Mr. E. M. Morrison; hon. secretary, Mr. D. R. Porter.
Mr. A. K. Gray gave an interesting address on his personal experiences of wartime England, having been there at the outbreak of hostilities.
