LONDON, May 13,
Reports from Switzerland that French shelling and bombing damaged the railway from Germany to Switzerland appear to have been confirmed by the announcement tonight that the German railway authorities told the stationmaster at Basle that all railway traffic between Germany and Basle had been stopped. An agency report from Basle says that the Bank of International Settlements at Basle is moving all records from offices and buildings to a village in the Bernese Alps. Other large banking and business .firms at Basle and Zurich are being removed into the interior.
