"SWITZERLAND."
The lovely ice show and ice ballet, "Switzerland," which has begun a short return season in Wellington, has every; thing that makes a good show—attrac* tive personalities, beautiful settings, sparkling humour, and bright music. The grace and expertness of. Megan Taylor in her execution of every known figure in ice skating, in whirling pirouettes that confound the eye, and in her unerring sense of balance is a'revelation in this art. Phil Taylor's daring athleticism on skates, his lightning speed, his wonderful performance on stilts, and his elegance in the dance, show why he has a world reputation, and the elegance with which he, in white satin court dress of the seventeenth century, dances the minuet with the sylph-like Elsie Heathcote—all within the space of a square of real ice 40 feet by 30 feet—is one of the notable events on the programme. Two other expert and beautiful skaters who catch the eye are Patricia anoV Joy MacKinnon, and another clever member of the company is Diana Grafton. Eddie Marcel is a compere-comedian.. of West End standard. Connie Graham is a gifted mimic, and Tommy Russell and Ernie Marconi fool amusingly wittt their music. - . . ■ . -
