SEAMEN'S MISSION

A most useful and essential work is that being performed by the Wellington Mission to Seamen. The social hall attached to the mission is used daily by seamen from visiting ships and is greatly appreciated by them. '•Those who have lived in Wellington but a short time may not know the history of the Seamen's Mission, but those who use the mission are perpetually grateful to Mrs. M. A. Williams, who gave the buildings for mission purposes. as a memorial to her husband, a shipowner and former sea captain. Each Sunday a bright religious service is held, conducted by the missioner, the Rev. B. J. Williams. Last night's service was well attended and was followed by a motion picture of a Scriptural story, and also a playlet which drove home the moral Of Mr. Williams's sermon.
