PETONE'S FIRST WIN

A 100 per cent, better, team than the ona which went down to Institute and Technical Old Boys, Petone were not hard pressed to beat Seatoun 3-0. Seatoun spent the better half of the first spell Inside Petone territory, but their shooting was poor, although they had several attempts at goal. Woods scored Petone's first goal about ten minutes before half-time and then Leslie sent the ball into the net. .. In the second half Petone had the wind in their favour, but Seatoun's defence was sounder, and Petone's only other goal was when the Seatoun backs gave Woods what amounted to a free kick, as they were evidently under the impression that he was offside. ■
