PARENTS ENTERTAIN YOUNG

PEOPLE

Mr. and Mrs. Charles Taylor entertained a number of young people on Saturday evening at 42 Hamilton Road, Hataitai, at a party in honour of their daughter, Miss Elizabeth Taylor, who was celebrating her birthday. Mr. Peter Taylor was also a guest of honour.

Bowls of flowering gum and autumn berries from the garden of Mrs. C. M. Cronquest's home decorated the hall and reception rooms,-where log fires were burning. Pale mauve irises, pink carnations, and nerines were reflected in mirrors on the supper table, together with low bowls of double violets, the gift of Mr. H. E. Taylor. Miss Taylor wore honey-gold silk organza over deep cream satin, and Mrs. Taylor was in rose pink crepe with a sequinned tunic. Music for dancing was played by Mrs. Taylor and Mr. Eric Ballinger.
