NAZI AIR LOSSES

CAMPAIGN IN NORWAY

/ NEARLY ONE HUNDRED

MACHINES

LONDON, April 22,

The Germans have lost at least 70 aircraft in and around Norway since the invasion began.

This figure of 70 is a very conservative estimate of\ planes shot down by'the Allies over the sea, in the air, '-or- over the land and those destroyed s on t^e ground. ■, "No estimate, can be exact. It is im->-possible to tell whether, a plane dam- ■' aged or set on fire is a total loss, but it can" be stated with confidence that ■the German losses in Norway are probably nearer 100 machines than 70. . In 'the same two weeks the Allies ,'have lost not more than 25 planes in ■the Norwegian campaign.
