MAGISTRATE'S COURT
A sentence of seven days' imprisonment was imposed upon Alfred George Ross, an engineer, aged 44, who appeared before Mr. J. L. Stout, S.M., in the Magistrate's Court yesterday, charged with assaulting his wife. On a charge of wilffully damaging a pane of glass he was ordered to pay for the damage, and for drunkenness he was convicted and discharged.
William Nelson Baker, a labourer, aged 47, and Leslie Flintoft, pensioner, aged 36, were each convicted and fined £1 for fighting.
Maurice Rudman, a labourer, aged 27, who was charged with wilfully damaging a pane of glass and a police tunic, was convicted and ordered to make good the damage, and for drunkenness he was convicted and discharged.
