TABLE TENNIS
WELLINGTON ASSOCIATION
An application for permission to hold the New Zealand table teiinis championships in Wellington this year because it is Centennial year is to be made by the Wellington Association in accordance with a decision made at the annual meeting. The following officers were elected:—Patron, Sir Charles Norwood; president, Mr. S. Casey; vice-presidents, Miss Isaac, Messrs. A. Bell, G. A. Taylor, A. Law, A. Cowan, K. C. Wilkinson, F. M. Kenner, R. G. Ridling,. W. H. Stevens, E. Witeombe, F. W. Young, V. P. 0. Francis, and W. A. Armour, and the Very Rev. Father A. X,ysaght, S.M.; treasurer, Mr. A. G. Little; auditor, Mr. A. Marryatt;, secretary, Mr. C. F. Stanwell; executive committee, Messrs. T. S. Williams, C. G. Highet, A. S. Meachen, L. W. Rogers, L. M. Wilson, 0. Heketa, H. \V. Osborn, K. W. Gibson, and V. Mitchell. 'At an executive meeting it was agreed that the closing date for entries should be April 30. The date for starting the competitions was held over till the next executive meeting, when the number of teams will be known. The following committees were elected:— Inter-club, Messrs. A. S. Meachen (convener), O. Hekett, L. M. Wilson, V. Mitchell, and K. W. Gibson; publicity, Messrs. O. Heketa (convener), C. G. Highet, C. Stanwell, and H. W. Osborn; finance, Messrs. T. S. Williams (convener), C. Stanwell, and A. G. Little; social, Messrs. C. G. Highet (convener), L. W. Rogers, H. W. Osborn, and T. S. Williams. The duties of recording secretary, instead of being performed by one person, as in the past, will now be allotted as follows: —A and B grades, Mr. L.. M. Wilson; C grade, -Mr. Q. Heketa; D and E grades, Mr. K. W. Gibson; F and women's grades. Mr. A. G. Little. The following were appointed selectors for <he season:—Senior, Mr. A. S. Meachen; junior, Messrs. O. Heketa (convener), K. C. Williamson, and K. Sutton.
