DECISION TO RESIST
HOW IT WAS REVERSED
LONDON, April 17
The "Daily Telegraph. says that, faced with an hour's ultimatum from the German Minister, who declared that Germany would bomb Danish cities, King Christian, the Prime Minister, Mr. Stauning, and the Foreign Minister, Dr. Munch, rejected a decision by the Danish Government to resist invasion.
It is reported that the Government unanimously decided to resist and that the German Minister handed Dr. Munch a demand for the withdrawal of resistance. Dr. Munch and Mr. Stauning hurried to the palace. After an hour's conference the German Minister announced the expiration of the ultimatum, whereupon the King replied that opposition would be withdrawn.
