The weather was mild arid fine for the opening day of the Wellington Trotting Club's Autumn Meeting at the Hutt Park yesterday, the track being in capital order. During the day the totalisator handled £19,735 (win £9134 10s, place £10,600 10s) as against £16,190 (win £7627 10s, place £8562 10s) last year, an increase of £3545.
