SERIOUS FLOODS
THAW IN S.E. EUROPE
BUDAPEST, March 3U. A thaw has caused very serious flooding in Yugoslavia and Hungary and large, areas of valuable agricultural land are inundated: The* Danube and smaller .rivers^'and ■■'lakes'- burst their banks, " flooding ' ' enormous stretches of country.
Many districts. have been evacuated, and Budapest itself is partially flooded. "Numerous river dams .burst throughout Hungary. At one place the Danube is 25 feet abbye normal. This is without' precedent. , ....
