TITAHI BAY
PROGRESSIVE ASSOCIATION
The, monthly meeting of the commit tee of the Titahi Bay Progressive Association was held recently when some important matters relating to the bay's future were dealt with, the principal items being inadequate supply of street lights, restoration of the water supply, iand; future control 'of the beach. ' .The opportunity was taken to make a farewell presentation, a fountain pen, to Mr. W. W. Bird, who has been a member of the association's committee for many years and is now leaving the district. Messrs. Bothamley and Graves and the president expressed re- v . gret at the loss of Mr. Bird's services. The following are the officers elected for the current year:—Patron, Mr. Ernest Windley; president, Mr. William. I G.. Schock; vice-presidents, Messrs. Eric Johnston, Robert Arlow, and H. C. Hunter; executive committee, Messrs. H. C. Garde, G. F. Wilson, R. W. Bothamley, H. C. Thornton, H. I. Graves, G. Thome-George, and B. S. Sheajr; hon. secretary, Mr. L. Chaffey; - hon. auditor. Mr. K. Hunter; hon. solicitor, Mr. J. L. McDuff.
