MEMORIAL SERVICES

Iri memoriam references to the late Prime Minister, Mr. Savage, were made at services conducted by Adjutant and Mrs. G. Thompson at the Salvation Army Citadel, Vivian Street, Wellington, at 11 a.m. and 7 p.m. yesterday.

The Salvation Army band played Chopin's "Funeral March" in Dixbn Street last night, there being a crowd of more than 400 people.

The evening service at the Citadel was also a memorial service for the late Mrs. J. McMillan, for a| number of years a member of the Wellington City Corps, who was killed in a motor accident in Dunedin recently.
