SUGGESTED POSTPONEMENT

Several race meetings are due to be held about the time of the funeral of the late Prime Minister, and the Government is asking the New Zealand Racing Conference to suggest to the clubs concerned that it would be fitting if those meetings could be post-* poned. The Minister of Internal Affairs (the Hon. W. E. Parry) said today that he understood that the Avondale Racing Club had already decided out of respect for the memory of the Prime Minister to postpone until another day its meeting fixed for next Saturday.
